About Us

Michelle joined Tenant First in 2016, when the portfolio had fewer than 30 properties. Ten years later, she’s helped grow it to nearly 500—and counting.

As Vice President and Integrator, Michelle works alongside the owner to turn the company’s vision into action. She leads the team, drives portfolio performance, champions company culture, and aligns leasing, maintenance, accounting, and operations to deliver a consistent Tenant First experience. Her focus is on building a strong team, maintaining high standards, and positioning the company for sustainable growth.

Michelle began her career in hospitality, including roles at Messina Hof Winery and Tanglewood Resort and Conference Center. That people-first mindset continues to shape how she leads today. A licensed Texas real estate broker, she believes in servant leadership and the responsibility leaders have to set the tone, lead by example, and create an environment where people want to do their best work. What she’s proudest of isn’t just how much Tenant First has grown, but that the company has stayed true to its values and maintained an incredible culture along the way.

A lifelong Texan, Michelle and her husband have three daughters. When she gets the chance to unplug, you’ll likely find her at the beach or in the mountains. At work, her favorite part of the job is the people she gets to work alongside and the opportunity to keep learning and growing. She loves that no two days are the same and that there’s always a new challenge to tackle, a process to improve, or an opportunity to help the team get better.

Victor Sandoval returned to Tenant First in January 2025 as Maintenance Manager, bringing nearly two decades of hands-on experience in painting, drywall, and property-related work, along with experience in residential and commercial maintenance. After an earlier year with Tenant First in 2023, he returned ready to take on a leadership role with a company he believes genuinely cares about its employees and tenants.

As Maintenance Manager, Victor oversees maintenance operations across all Tenant First regions, including vendor relationships, quality assurance, and emergency response. He takes pride in finding ways to improve the department, including bringing appliance repairs and maintenance in-house. His approach to leadership centers on leading by example, empowering his team, and holding everyone accountable to the high standards tenants deserve.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Victor now calls College Station home. He is the proud father of three and grandfather to an eight-year-old granddaughter. Outside of work, he enjoys making memories with his family, spending time with his two dogs, and cheering on his lifelong favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Kenisha Henderson joined Tenant First in December 2024, bringing a decade of experience as a licensed real estate agent and a passion for helping people grow. She was drawn to Tenant First’s culture and the opportunity to be part of a team where people feel supported and encouraged to develop.

As Property Manager, Kenisha leads the leasing team across all Tenant First regions, overseeing leasing, marketing, inspections, and customer care. One of her proudest accomplishments has been leading the lease-up of the company’s largest project to date: a 110-unit community that expanded Tenant First’s portfolio by 31%. She focuses on leading, developing, and holding her team accountable while ensuring a positive experience for prospective and current tenants.

Kenisha holds an associate degree in business from Blinn College and has been a licensed real estate agent for 10 years. Her approach to leadership is grounded in the belief that a supportive culture creates room for people to learn, grow, and succeed.

Originally from West Texas, Kenisha has also spent time in Austin before settling in the Bryan–College Station area. She and her husband have four children together. What she enjoys most about her work is the people she gets to work alongside every day.

Lindsay Parkey joined Tenant First in May 2026, bringing 24 years of accounting experience and more than two decades with Stylecraft Builders, where she most recently served as Accounting Manager. She was drawn to Tenant First by its family atmosphere and core values, which made joining the team a natural fit.

As Staff Accountant, Lindsay is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording daily transactions, and preparing financial reports for banking partners across Tenant First’s portfolio. As the company’s dedicated accounting team member, she supports all properties and regions while working directly with tenants when financial questions arise. She takes pride in being part of a team that sets ambitious goals and achieves them, including Tenant First’s recognition on the 2026 Aggie 100.

Lindsay holds associate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration and Management, along with certifications in Accounting Technology and Business Management. Her commitment to continued learning led her back to school later in life to strengthen her knowledge and confidence in her profession. She enjoys the way numbers tell a story, revealing the bigger picture behind the details.

Originally from Madisonville, Texas, Lindsay has called College Station home since 2003. She and her husband, Mark, have been married for 23 years and have three grown children. Outside of work, they enjoy tackling projects around the house, spending time with family, and traveling together to explore new places.

Tenant First started with a single rental home Doug purchased in 2007 while he was still a student at Texas A&M. In those early days, he and his wife, Kara, did much of the work themselves and tracked the finances in an Excel spreadsheet. Nearly two decades later, that one home has grown into a portfolio of nearly 500 homes. In 2026, Tenant First earned a spot on the Aggie 100, a longtime goal Doug credits to the team behind the company. Through it all, the mission has remained the same: provide quality homes, excellent service, and lasting value.

As Founder and CEO, Doug sets Tenant First’s vision, growth strategy, and investment direction, working closely with Vice President Michelle Mims, who leads day-to-day operations. He also serves as Owner, President, and CEO of Stylecraft Builders and was named to Builder Magazine’s 40 Under 40.

Doug holds a psychology degree, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M and an MBA with honors from Baylor University. He is also a licensed Texas real estate broker and has served as board chair for United Way of the Brazos Valley, SOS Ministries, and the Bryan–College Station Chamber of Commerce.

What Doug enjoys most is watching people and businesses grow beyond where they started. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with Kara and their children, Hadleigh and Benton, fishing, and getting in a run.
